Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill, part of the Austrian company Pulp Mill Holding, is one of Europe’s largest paper products producers. In December 2020, its corrugated board packaging facility took a Corrucleaner dust removal system into use to further safeguard Kyiv CPM’s high-quality standards.
Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill provides one-third of all paper products in Ukraine. Recycled paper is the prime raw material for manufacturing: the mill processes over 1550 tons of recycled material every day.
Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill consists of three pillars:
- A board mill for coated and uncoated board and container board with a total production of 240,000 tons per year.
- A tissue plant with a total production of 70,000 tons of tissue-products per year.
- A corrugated board packaging facility, accounting for 300 million square meters of corrugated board per yearg.

With its state-of-the-art equipment, Kyiv CPM strives for a consistently high level of quality. Recently, this resulted in a Halal certification for clean production (in addition to the FHS, Fefco, ISO certifications).
Clean, dust-free production is fundamental to meet these qualifications. So, to keep both packaging products and production environment clean and safe, a Corrucleaner HE 90 dust removal system now complements the production line.
Besides safe and clean production, effective removal of dust and trim guarantees a constant high printing quality.
An important additional advantage of targeted web cleaning is a decrease in wash stops. This lowers the pressure on the machine operators, increases productivity, and minimizes waste.
Corrucleaner dust removal system up and running in less than 13 hrs
The two BHS corrugators in Kyiv CPM’s packaging facility produce corrugated board 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thus, to avoid losing valuable production time, a quick installation was essential. Of course, this also meant that the commissioning had to be flawless. Unnecessary production stops due to problems were a no-go.
For such an efficient installation, we prepare each system down to the smallest detail. In addition, we thoroughly test the installation at our own facility before shipment.
When installing our dust removal system, we can fully accommodate the mounting frame and electrical connections in the corrugated production line. It is also possible that the client takes care of these preparations, as was the case with this installation.
Kyiv CPM expected a production stop of 24 hours. But thanks to good preparation and highly skilled local technicians, the entire installation and delivery of the Corrucleaner was completed within thirteen hours.
